Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

The short version: PhonicsNest does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information about your child or your family. Everything stays on your device. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Ever.

Who we are

PhonicsNest is developed by Stonebreak Learning. We build educational apps for young children with a commitment to privacy as a core value, not an afterthought.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at learningteam@stonebreaklearning.com .

What data we collect

We collect nothing.

PhonicsNest stores your child's name, age group, and learning progress locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

✓ No account required ✓ No email address ✓ No location data ✓ No analytics ✓ No advertising ✓ No cloud storage

Microphone and speech recognition

The "Say It!" feature uses your device's microphone and Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework to listen when your child says a word. This is used only to check pronunciation and provide instant feedback.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

PhonicsNest is designed for children under 13 and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because we collect no data at all, there is nothing to delete, transfer, or restrict.

Third-party services

PhonicsNest uses no third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. The app uses only Apple's built-in frameworks (SwiftUI, AVFoundation, Speech, CoreHaptics).

Data deletion

All data stored by PhonicsNest (your child's name, progress, and stars) lives only on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will never introduce data collection without providing clear notice and, where required, obtaining consent.
